Though more than three weeks from release, the movie has already left everyone stunned with its pre-release bookings in the USA, which already stand at a whopping USD 150,000 for premiere shows alone.

For a movie with barely three songs, a teaser, and few solo posters announced until now, the hype for Coolie is simply unprecedented. Even before the trailer release on August 2, the excitement is in full flow. A total of more than 5,000 tickets have been booked already, with a whopping per-screen average of 20 tickets. Tamil is currently dominating sales, with the Telugu dubbed version closely trailing behind.
Industry experts are not discounting the possibility of a USD 2 million opening day, a sum that reflects Coolie’s humongous international popularity.
