Ustaad Bhagat Singh Slows Down After Big Start Can It Still Win at Box Office

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh sees a drop after strong opening while facing competition from Dhurandhar at the box office.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, is continuing its run in theatres but has started to slow down after a strong opening. On its eleventh day, the film was shown in more than 1100 shows and earned around one crore rupees. So far, the movie has collected close to seventy crore rupees in net earnings across India.

The film had an impressive start in its first week. On the opening day, it earned more than thirty four crore rupees, which gave it a strong push. Over the next few days, the collections slowly went down, which is common for big films after the initial excitement settles. By the end of the first week, the total collection was nearly sixty six crore rupees.

In the second week, the drop in earnings became more noticeable. The film continued to earn around one crore rupees per day, showing that while interest is still there, it is not as strong as before. On the eleventh day, the occupancy in theatres was around twenty two percent for Telugu shows, which shows a steady but slower performance.

One of the reasons for this slowdown is the competition from Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar. Both films released around the same time, which divided the audience. However, director Harish Shankar believes that the two films are very different and should not be compared directly. He praised Aditya Dhar and called him a strong filmmaker but also said that both movies belong to different genres and attract different audiences.

Harish Shankar also explained that big films often release together during festive seasons, and there is enough space in theatres for more than one movie. He added that if the competing film had been similar in style, like a full commercial entertainer, then the comparison would have been more relevant.

The film itself is an action drama where Pawan Kalyan plays a brave police officer who fights against crime and protects people. The movie also stars Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna in important roles, along with several well known supporting actors.

Released during the Ugadi festival, the film had the advantage of holiday crowds in its early days. While the pace has slowed now, it still continues to run in theatres and may add more to its total collection in the coming days.
