Vishwanath & Sons added Rs. 4.50 crore on its second Friday, taking its 8 day India gross to Rs. 95.75 crore and moving close to the Rs. 100 crore mark.

Vishwanath & Sons has maintained a steady run at the Indian box office as it entered its second weekend. The Suriya starrer collected Rs. 4.50 crore on its second Friday, taking its 8 day running total to Rs. 95.75 crore gross in India. Based on its current pace, the film is expected to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark by the end of Saturday.

The film has continued to attract audiences despite entering its second week. Its second Friday collection suggests that the movie has managed to hold a reasonable share of its audience after a strong opening week.

According to current trends, Vishwanath & Sons could collect around Rs. 15 to 17 crore during its second weekend. If it reaches that range, the film’s overall India collection could move to around Rs. 105 crore.

However, the film will need to maintain its momentum in the coming days as it prepares to face competition from Yash starrer Toxic next weekend. The performance before the new release arrives will be important in deciding how far Vishwanath & Sons can go at the box office.

The film has also recorded a decent performance in Karnataka and Kerala. Together, these two markets have contributed around Rs. 18 crore so far. The rest of India has added around Rs. 1.25 crore, with the film having largely completed its run in those markets.
