This week will see the release of Vinay-Neha's PAPPU CAN'T DANCE SAALA, the IITian's directed WITH LOVE, DELHI and Pawan Gill's, Sunny Gill and Simran Kaur Mundi starrer, JO HUM CHAHEIN. If we have to stick out our neck and make a prediction we will chose JO HUM CHAHEIN as the dark horse of this Friday. Having said that Tom Cruise's MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL and its dubbed versions will be more than a formidable opponent for most of the Hindi releases.
Moving on, a large section of the trade and media expected Yash Raj Films' LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL to continue the success of the team's last venture, BAND BAAJA BAARAAT but that was not to be. After an ordinary first day the Ranveer, Anushka and Dipannita starrer saw marginal pickups on Saturday and Sunday netting 16 crores during the opening weekend. While the 25 crore (all inclusive release cost) LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL will be a profitable venture for the makers and worldwide distributors (Yash Raj Films), thanks to the non-theatrical earnings, it is unlikely to be termed as a clear success. The film has also disappointed in the overseas grossing ?75,000 from UK and $ 222,000 from the US during the opening weekend (9-11 December). The other release of the week, Maqbool Khan's, LANKA, failed to cut much ice with the audience and has little or no chances of survival.

The film has also done very well in the overseas grossing ? 548,500 from UK and $1,066,200 from US till the third weekend (9-11 December).
