The fifth month of 2013 will close with perhaps the biggest grosser of the year thus far, the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI.
Given the excitement amongst the campus crowd, it came as no surprise to see good advance booking at some prominent multiplexes, and so the Ayan Mukerji directed YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWAANI is expected to open to a great response especially at these properties.
It was a disappointing week at the box-office with both the new releases of last Friday, Preity Zinta's debut home venture, ISHKQ IN PARIS and the Jyotin Goel directed HUM HAI RAAHI CAR KE failing to make an impression at the ticket window, barring a handful of screens.
The third release of the week, Rajiv S. Ruia's Veena Malik starrer ZINDAGI 50-50 faring even worse.

The film has also disappointed in the overseas grossing? 47,000 from the UK and $150,000 from the US till the second weekend (24-26 May).
The other release of the week, I DON'T LUV U, saw a very poor response and barely managed 50-60 lakhs during the opening week.
Meanwhile, the Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK directed Saif Ali Khan starrer, GO GOA GONE, maintained well at some cinemas but saw a big drop at others.
