Indian cricket Virat Kohli was spotted on Tuesday morning in Mumbai returning from his luxury getaway home in Alibaug. The paparazzi managed to snap a photograph of the former India captain at the Gateway of India jetty, just a day after his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma made her way back to the city.
Kohli and Anushka have an exquisite villa in Alibaug. This was designed by Stefan Antoni Architects (SAOTA) with the direction of Philippe Fouche. Located on an 8-acre plot bought for ₹19 crore in 2022, this holiday home boasts the following features:
Spacious living area of 10,000 sq. ft.
Temperature-controlled pool
Jacuzzi and customized kitchen
Four bathrooms and vast garden
Covered parking, staff quarters, and lavish materials, such as Italian marble and Turkish limestones.
News has it that Kohli added ₹10.5–13 crore to build the villa.

While the couple is currently staying in Mumbai in a 7,171 sq. ft. luxury apartment worth ₹34 crore, there are rumors that Kohli and Anushka might shift to London after Kohli’s eventual retirement from cricket. Kohli also owns an ₹80 crore bungalow in Gurugram, making his real estate portfolio nothing short of extraordinary.
Kohli has returned to Mumbai after a tough visit to Australia, during which he was out of form. Across nine innings, Kohli made only 190 runs while an entire century was made in a Perth Test.
His troubles against deliveries outside the off-stump resurfaced during the series, with Australian pacer Scott Boland dismissing him four times in eight innings. Kohli’s struggles have sparked concerns, and some critics have suggested a stint in domestic cricket to regain rhythm.
As Kohli struggled to find form, the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) included him in the list of probables for India’s last two Ranji Trophy matches. He will most probably miss those as his international calendar is very busy and hectic.
