Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have officially begun their wedding festivities, marking the start of a beautiful journey. However, amidst all the preparations, Sobhita managed to take a brief break and attend ace designer Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party.
On Tuesday evening, the Made in Heaven star was seen looking stunning in a traditional blue saree, styled elegantly with a few bangles and a bindi, but what truly stole the show was her massive engagement ring. Fans and media alike couldn’t help but focus on the dazzling piece of jewelry as she posed for the paparazzi.
The pre-wedding festivities for the couple began with the traditional Telugu ritual of Godhuma Raayi Pasupu Danchatam, a pre-wedding ceremony involving turmeric and wheat, which Sobhita revealed took place in Visakhapatnam. In a heartfelt gesture, she wore Naga Chaitanya’s mother’s saree for the special occasion. The couple is reportedly planning an intimate wedding celebration in December.
Though they had a private wedding ceremony in Hyderabad back in August, Sobhita reflected on the simplicity and intimacy of her engagement. In an interview with Galatta India, she shared how she entered the moment without grand expectations, and it ended up being exactly what she had hoped for—warm, intimate, and relaxed. She expressed that she didn’t feel the need for any embellishments, as the experience itself was “perfect.”
The couple’s relationship reportedly began in May 2022 when Sobhita was in Hyderabad to promote her film Major. Naga Chaitanya joined her in celebrating her birthday, and their connection blossomed from there, eventually leading to their romantic relationship.
Chaitanya was previously married to actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, but they separated in 2021. Recently, their family faced controversy when Telangana Minister Konda Surekha made allegations linking their divorce to political figure KT Rama Rao. In response, Nagarjuna filed a defamation case to address the claims. Despite these challenges, the focus remains on the couple’s upcoming wedding and new beginnings.
