Priyanka Chopra returned to Mumbai for a big family affair—the wedding of her brother, Siddharth Chopra, to Neelam Upadhyaya. The celebrations began yesterday with the haldi ceremony taking place today.
Videos of the mehendi ceremony are doing the rounds on the internet, where Priyanka seems to be the showstopper as she dances to iconic wedding songs like Maahi Ve from Kal Ho Na Ho and Chaiya Chaiya from Dil Se. Dress in bright yellow traditional salwar suit along with trendy shaded sunglasses. She was simply dancing on the dhol beats with effortless grace. Her energy was enough to draw in brother Siddharth, sister Neelam, and other family members into joyous celebrations with her.
On Monday, Priyanka shared a glance into the sangeet’s rehearsal and the family bonding time through a series of photos. Revealing an interesting angle on this couple’s love story in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, she said Siddharth and Neelam met through a dating app. Speaking about this app with vested interest, she said her brother found his fiancée there. It was never her approach to use dating apps, for she met with her husband Nick Jonas the old-fashioned way. “I am so happy for my brother,” she wrote. “This is so cool. He met his fiancée on an app. For once, he’s grateful for something I had done! They are so cute. Such love, I love love!”
Last night, Priyanka once again took to social media, sharing a few snapshots of pre-wedding excitement. In an emotional post along with more pictures, she fondly wrote, “Shaadi ka ghar…!! And it starts tomorrow-meri bhai ki…!”
