Riteish Deshmukh is a real jack-of-all-trades of the Indian entertainment industry, proving his mettle as an actor, host, director, and social worker. Born on December 17, 1978, in Mumbai, he belongs to a well-known political background his father, Vilasrao Deshmukh, was a Chief Minister in Delhi, while his brothers, Amit and Dhiraj, too engage in politics. But Riteish took a different route, debuting in his film career with Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) opposite Genelia D’Souza, who would be his wife later.

In spite of some opposition from his family, particularly his father, Riteish and Genelia’s romance survived. Finally, after dating for years, they got married in 2013 and are now parents to two boys, Riaan and Rahyl. The two have shared the screen space in a number of films, some of which include Masti, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, and blockbuster Marathi movie Ved.

Who is known for his great sense of humor, Riteish has given hit franchises such as Housefull and Dhamaal and movies like Heyy Babyy, Dhol, and Kya Kool Hai Hum. But he has also proved his mettle by giving strong performances in tragic roles, winning awards for movies like Ek Villain and Raid 2.
