The sequel of the film Dhadak, Dhadak 2 is now in the theatres. Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar’s film ‘Dhadak’ was released in 2018 which made a special place in the hearts of the audience and also performed well at the box office. Now after seven years, the makers have brought its second part ‘Dhadak’ 2. This time the story is new, the characters are new, but the flavour is the same as that of ‘Dhadak’. A mix of love, struggle and the shackles of society. The film stars Tripti Dimri as Vidhi and Siddhant Chaturvedi as Nilesh. The story revolves around caste, humiliation and honour.
Story
The story of the film Dhadak 2 is about a Brahmin girl Vidhi and a Dalit boy Nilesh. Everyone in Vidhi’s family is a lawyer and she also takes admission in a law college, where she meets Nilesh. The two grow close, but Nilesh’s family doesn’t approve of their daughter getting close to a Dalit boy, and then they make Nilesh’s life hell. Now the question is, will Nilesh succumb to this pressure? Will he give up his love and his dreams? Or will he stand up against society and fight his battle? To know the answers to these questions, you will have to go to the theatres.
Acting
Siddhant Chaturvedi has brought life to the character of Nilesh, and his performance is amazing. His eyes reflect confusion, pain and passion all at the same time. Especially when he fights with himself and the system, he breaks the hearts of the audience as well as raises hope. Triptii Dimri is a surprise package and appears full of confidence throughout the film. Tripti deserves praise for this character and acting. The rest of the characters have also played their roles well.

Writing and Direction
The film is written by Rahul Badwalkar and Shazia Iqbal, and directed by Shazia. Both the writing and direction of the film are good, and the film focuses on social issues.
