A decade after his big-screen debut, Kapil Sharma returns with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, a situational comedy that expands the universe of relationship chaos introduced in the 2015 film. Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the sequel attempts to retain the madcap charm of the original while grounding it in a more emotional, interfaith narrative.
At the heart of the film is Mohan (Kapil Sharma), who has been in a 16-year relationship with his true love, Sanya (Hira Warina). The two want to get married, but their families firmly oppose the union on religious grounds. Determined to stay together, they push ahead—until a bizarre chain of misunderstandings leads Mohan into three accidental marriages with three women from three different faiths.
From here begins the familiar circus – Mohan scrambling to keep each household happy while desperately concealing the truth. Yet beneath the farcical exterior lies his lingering ache for Sanya, who has been missing from his life. And when she finally reappears, the twist is surprisingly tender—she no longer recognises him, leaving Mohan emotionally stranded in a life he never intended to build.
The Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 writing chooses a safer, softer path, steering clear of jokes that ridicule any faith and maintaining a neutral, good-natured comedic tone. The humour rests largely on situational confusion and cultural contrast, though the dialogues follow the predictable beats typical of this genre. Still, Kapil Sharma’s ease with timing helps many scenes land better than they read on paper.
Among the ensemble, the three leading women (Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, Ayesha Khan) share reasonably balanced screen time, each contributing to the escalating chaos rather than existing as mere caricatures. Manjot Singh, playing Mohan’s confidant nicknamed ‘Hubby’, gets several genuinely funny moments and adds to the film’s breezy rhythm. The extended cast—including Sushant Singh, (Late) Asrani, Akhilendra Mishra, Vipin Sharma, Jamie Lever, Supriya Shukla, Smita Jayakar, Aarav Jain, and others—rounds out the comic world with dependable support.
While Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 offers pockets of laughter and a few heartfelt beats, it rarely surprises. The narrative maintains a consistent but predictable pace, leaning on the same tropes that defined the first film. As a result, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 works as a light, undemanding entertainer—pleasant in parts, uneven in others, and ultimately geared towards audiences seeking uncomplicated fun.
All in all, it is an easy one-time watch, buoyed by Kapil Sharma’s familiar charm but restrained by a safe and formulaic script.
