Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar surprised his fans by releasing a special video featuring actress Disha Patani, teasing a brand-new song from his much-awaited comedy Welcome to the Jungle. The track is a remix of the hit number Ek Uncha Lamba Kad from the 2007 blockbuster Welcome that originally featured Akshay with Katrina Kaif.
Sharing the clip on social media, Akshay wrote, “From our hearts to yours! What a throwback — 18 years and still an all-time favourite. With so much nostalgia, beautiful Disha and I bring you Welcome to the Jungle… Never forgetting our Queen Katrina.” The way he mentioned Katrina Kaif touched the hearts of the fans at once and started praising him for being so affectionate and respectful toward his co-actress.
Grooving to the peppy remix playing in the teaser, Akshay-Disha exudes an infectious, effervescent energy and charm. The song melds the nostalgia of the original with a contemporary twist, which will strike a chord with viewers the first time it plays. Fans made a beeline for the comments section, with many terming the number a “nostalgic delight” and praising the “great chemistry” between Akshay and Disha.

The film is directed by Ahmed Khan, starring Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, and Arshad Warsi in key roles. The movie is the third instalment in the popular Welcome franchise after the films Welcome in 2007 and Welcome Back in 2015.

The first Welcome became a cult classic with its hilarious performances of Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, and Mallika Sherawat. However, Katrina reportedly won’t be a part of the new film since she is all set to turn mother. In the end, Welcome to the Jungle has that rare cocktail of a nostalgic brand, star power, and comedy to bring back laughter-filled magic cherished by fans for almost two decades.
