The next film, which Akshay Kumar is working on, has announced its release for April 18, 2025. Adding to the amazing success of Sky Force, this could jolt fan bases when anticipated. Previously, the title was reported as Shankara, but now will tie to themes of heroism and nationalism like Kesari (2019).
Biopic of Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair
Unlike its first part, Kesari Chapter 2 will portray the life and times of celebrated lawyer and freedom fighter Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair. The film will be set against the historical background of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Under the auspices of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the movie features highly skilled actors such as Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday.
Why the Title Change?
The title Kesari Chapter 2 does not correlate with Kesari. Using that title was a strategic plan by the directors to create intrigue among the audience. Since both the films have theme songs sounding with courage, inspiration, and patriotism, hence the new title suits the plot of the film. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is based on the book, The Case That Shook the Empire, written by Riaghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.
