The makers of Kartik Aryan’s horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ are contending with pirates after teasing audiences with ghosts in the Diwali release.
Apparently, crucial scenes from the climax of the film that made box office tills jingle like crazy on the opening weekend were leaked online a day after the film hit theatres. Since the climax is where the suspense of the third part of the popular franchise unravels, director Anees Bazmee is naturally upset at this blatant piracy.
So to curb such enthusiasm that is generally the work of the actors’ fan clubs, the ‘BB3’ team has decided to go in for some anti-piracy measures that have proved successful for several Hollywood studios. A core team has been formed to prevent such sharing of content digitally.
It will use several tools in real time to scan for leaks on torrent websites, social media pages and fan accounts and block all illegal uploads.
It will also work with cyber security experts and digital rights organizations that specialize in tracking and deleting pirated contents. Kartik Aryan need not worry. His fans will nevertheless go to see the film even if they know what happens in the end.
