As Bigg Boss 19 moves closer to its grand finale, the drama inside the house is intensifying—and so are the surprises outside it. In a major twist, host Salman Khan will not appear in this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar. Instead, Bollywood filmmaker and Khatron Ke Khiladi host Rohit Shetty will take over the reins, bringing his signature blend of action and high-voltage energy to the show.
On Friday, JioHotstar officially announced the development, unveiling a poster of Rohit Shetty with the caption, “Iss Weekend Ka Vaar, Rohit Shetty layenge action aur drama ka blockbuster blend.” This marks the second time someone has filled in for Salman on Weekend Ka Vaar, the earlier instance being when Farah Khan stepped in—an episode that fans thoroughly enjoyed. Viewers are now eager to see whether Rohit’s distinctive hosting style will match, or perhaps exceed, expectations.
While the platform has not given an official reason for Salman’s absence, it appears the superstar is currently occupied with his Da-Bangg tour in Qatar. Salman, along with Tamannaah Bhatia, Prabhu Deva, Maniesh Paul, Sunil Grover, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Stebin Ben, is scheduled to perform at the Asian Town Amphitheatre in Doha on November 14. A video from the tour’s press conference also surfaced online earlier in the day, featuring Stebin Ben singing “Oo Jaane Jana” while Salman vibed to the track, further confirming his commitments abroad.
Inside the Bigg Boss house, tensions have been running high all week. A shocking mid-week elimination saw Mridul Tiwari leave the show after receiving the fewest votes during a live-audience task. The week also witnessed a major confrontation between Amaal and Gaurav, after Amaal and Farrhana accused Gaurav of portraying a “character” rather than being genuine. The argument escalated into a debate on nepotism, with Amaal claiming Gaurav mocked his struggles.
Adding to the drama, Gaurav was recently crowned captain of the house. In a bold move, he nominated all contestants for eviction, triggering angry reactions from Shehbaz Badesha and Amaal, who accused Bigg Boss of favoritism and called the decision unfair.
With unexpected twists, explosive fights, and a new host steering the crucial Weekend Ka Vaar, Bigg Boss 19 is gearing up for an action-packed weekend. The show streams on JioHotstar at 9 PM and airs on Colors TV at 10:30 PM.
