Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra, 89, was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after his health reportedly worsened, leaving fans deeply concerned along with the film fraternity. The moment the news hit the headlines, a wave of worry swept across social media, with several celebrities rushing to the hospital to check on the veteran star.
On Wednesday night, Dharmendra’s son Sunny Deol was spotted arriving at the hospital to see his father. Deol’s family later issued a statement claiming that the actor is “stable and under observation.” They also asked fans and media persons to respect their privacy while praying for his speedy recovery.
Several popular Bollywood celebrities were spotted outside Breach Candy Hospital to visit the Deol family, including Hema Malini, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ameesha Patel.
This comes just weeks after Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital on October 31 for what his team described as a routine check-up. His representatives then assured fans there was “absolutely no cause for concern” as the actor regularly undergoes medical tests. They blamed public panic on somebody having spotted him at the hospital, which led to a wave of speculation regarding his health.

Esha Deol, Dharmendra’s daughter, responded to false rumors that he had died by posting online that he was fine. She told people not to spread the rumors, but to continue sending prayers and good wishes.
As the evening progressed, visuals of family members arriving at Dharmendra’s home added to the growing curiosity over his condition. Sources close to the family, however, maintained that the megastar is still under observation and recovering steadily. His fans all over India continue to pray for their favourite megastar’s well-being.
