After India’s counterattack under Operation Sindoor, some Pakistani celebrities have made their disapproval clear. Fawad Khan was the latest to make his objections known, labeling the operation as a “shameful attack.” On an Instagram story uploaded at about 9 a.m., he offered condolences to the victims’ families and asked people to stay away from spreading hatred. He finished off with, “May better sense prevail. InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad!
Fawad’s message was preceded by similar sentiments from other Pakistani celebrities. Mahira Khan described the mission as a “cowardly act,” and Hania Aamir shared a post from Fatima Bhutto with similar vitriol. The posts gained traction quickly on all social media, even though Instagram was blocked for Pakistani celebrities in India.

What Is Operation Sindoor?
Launched against the horrific April 22 Pahalgam terror attack killing 26 lives, Operation Sindoor saw India’s Army and Air Force striking nine terror bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan’s Bahawalpur in common. The mission targeted in specific terror group commanders Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) both of whom are officially categorized as terror outfits by India, the United Nations, and others.
As tensions escalate, remarks by Pakistani actors continue to fuel controversy, further testing cross-border cultural relations.
