Salman Khan’s security has been significantly heightened following the death of his close friend, Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddique, who was shot dead by three assailants on October 12. This increase in security is also due to ongoing threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Khan, who is currently working on his upcoming film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, and hosting a reality show, now has Y-plus security, which includes additional armed personnel.
Although there were reports that Khan had paused shooting to attend Siddique’s funeral, his manager denied these claims. However, a source close to the project confirmed that his shooting schedule might face slight delays, potentially pushing the film’s completion from December to January. Despite the delays, safety remains the priority.
Khan’s security on set has been bolstered with an additional 8-10 personnel, who perform reconnaissance before his arrival. According to report, the Mumbai Police have further enhanced his protection by adding armed officers and setting up a dedicated command center at his residence, Galaxy Apartments. This includes 24/7 police patrols, AI surveillance cameras, and barricades around the building. Security at his Panvel farmhouse has also been tightened to ensure the actor’s safety amid ongoing threats. The film Sikandar is expected to release in March 2025.
On the other hand Somy Ali, Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend, recently penned an open letter addressed to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who has been making headlines for issuing threats against Khan. In her letter, Somy expressed her desire to speak with Bishnoi, stating, “Aap jail se Zoom calls karte ho aur mujhe aapse baat karni hai” (You make Zoom calls from jail, and I want to talk to you).
Somy’s bold move comes amid rising concerns over Salman Khan’s safety, as the actor’s security has been beefed up following threats from Bishnoi. The open letter, though unexpected, has drawn attention as Somy openly addressed the notorious gangster, raising curiosity about her intent behind seeking this conversation.
While Somy Ali has been vocal about her past relationship with Khan and her subsequent life experiences, her current statement in relation to Bishnoi’s threats has added a new dimension to the ongoing developments surrounding Salman Khan’s security situation.
