BTS member J-Hope has been discharged from the South Korean military after serving 18 months, becoming the second BTS member to return from active duty after Jin. In his message to fans J-Hope thanked them for their support and praised his fellow soldiers for their dedication.
The excitement about his discharge extends to investors as well. As shares in HYBE, the agency behind BTS, rose more than 7% after the news, fans are eagerly awaiting BTS’s reunion in 2025 when all the members complete their military service.
BTS has left an indelible mark on their music. They rank as the 41st best-selling artist of all time, with more than 56 million albums sold and six No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. Fans such as Constanza Godoy of Chile expressed hope that their separation would bring to deeper stories and more meaningful songs about BTS’ future releases.
