Gudi Padwa is a special day which marks the beginning of the New year for Maharashtrians. Different people celebrate it in different style. It is also one of the most auspicious days which signify to invest in gold or fixed assets, or begin new projects and business ventures. However for our Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade, Gudi Padwa is all about family get-together.

Says Shreyas, ”When I am at home my family and close friends come over and we celebrate Gudi Padwa in the traditional style. My wife and my dad specifically take interest in organising and actively participating in the festivities. However I take pleasure in the family get-togethers. My mom always pokes me that I don’t take part in the festivities.”

Shreyas also recalls his fond childhood memories for Gudi Padwa, ”As kids I have seen the entire family coming together during Gudi Padwa since ours was a joint family.”
He further adds, ”Festival is a time when everybody comes together. Be it Gudi Padwa, Holi, Diwali it doesn’t matter. For me it’s one more reason to enjoy. What matters to me is being with my people.”
However, Shreyas will not celebrate the auspicious festival this year as he is occupied with the shooting his upcoming film MALAMAAL WEEKLY 2. ”This year I will miss celebrating Gudi Padwa as I am shooting for my upcoming film MALAMAAL WEEKLY 2,” says Shreyas.
Meanwhile Shreyas is also gearing up for his upcoming release HOUSEFULL 2.
