Diljit Dosanjh Clears Air on Khalistani Flag Row and Viral Video

Diljit Dosanjh has finally responded to the Aura 2026 concert controversy and clarified why security removed people from the audience.

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has finally reacted to the controversy surrounding his Aura 2026 concert after videos from the event went viral on social media. The singer and actor addressed the issue through his Instagram story and made it clear that he only acted against people who were disturbing the atmosphere at the concert.

Diljit explained in simple words that he has no problem with fans bringing flags or banners to show where they come from or to express their support. However, he strongly objected to people who were creating trouble outside and inside the venue. In his Instagram story written in Punjabi, Diljit said that some people were abusing his fans outside the concert and later tried to create the same disturbance inside the venue as well. He added that he would not tolerate such behavior at his shows.

The singer also clarified that he never objected to any particular flag or banner and requested people not to spread false stories online. According to Diljit, the situation was only about maintaining peace and ensuring that genuine fans could enjoy the concert without disruption. He also revealed that he had stayed silent on the matter since last year but decided it was finally time to speak up. Ending his note on a calm tone, he wrote, “Love & Peace.”

The controversy started after a video from the Aura 2026 concert surfaced online in which Diljit was heard saying, “Jitne jhande dikhane dikhao.” Reports claimed that a section of people at the event were protesting against the singer. While the exact reason behind the protest remains unclear, some reports suggested that a few individuals were unhappy with Diljit for appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon recently while not visiting Punjab during the flood situation.

On the professional front, Diljit is now preparing for his upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film also stars Sharvari and Vaidang Raina in key roles. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Window Seat Films, the movie is set to release in cinemas on June 12, 2026. The film will also bring back the popular music trio of A. R. Rahman, Irshad Kamil, and Imtiaz Ali, known for delivering some of Bollywood’s most loved soundtracks.
