Kangana Ranaut’s next film, “Emergency,” is set to be released in cinemas on September 6, 2024. She announced this release date on Instagram, accompanied by a new poster of the film. The release of “Emergency” was previously postponed in May due to Kangana’s involvement in the Lok Sabha Elections.

Kangana described the film as marking “The Beginning of the 50th Year of Independent India’s Darkest Chapter,” highlighting the controversial period in Indian history when an Emergency was declared by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1975. Kangana portrays Indira Gandhi in the film, which promises to be an “Explosive Saga of The Most Controversial Episode of The History of Indian Democracy.”

The film boasts a notable cast, including Anupam Kher as Jayprakash Narayan, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee. “Emergency” will be Kangana’s first film following her participation in the Lok Sabha Elections.
