“Na Ruke, Na Thake, Na Jhuke” – The Explosive “Shatak” Teaser Is Here, and It’s a Game-Changer!

Shatak traces 100 years of the RSS, exploring its ideology, resilience, and lesser-known history through a cinematic lens, ahead of its 2026 release.

The teaser of Shatak: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ke 100 Varsh has been officially released, marking a significant cinematic tribute to the 100-year journey of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Conceived to coincide with the centenary celebrations of the Sangh, the film seeks to chronicle its evolution, ideology, and social contributions, while offering a deeper insight into its impact on India’s social and cultural landscape.

Inspired by this historic milestone, Shatak presents the story of an organisation that has traversed a long and complex path over the last century. The film positions itself as more than a historical account—it aims to be an exploration of ideas, resilience, and continuity, highlighting how the Sangh has sustained itself through changing political, social, and cultural environments. By tracing this journey, the film attempts to contextualise the RSS’s role in shaping various aspects of national life.

Adding to the film’s growing anticipation is the release of its patriotic song, ‘Bhagwa Hai Apni Pehchan’, which was unveiled by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji at Keshav Kunj in Delhi. Sung by acclaimed playback singer Sukhwinder Singh, the song captures the spirit and emotional core of the film. With its stirring composition and evocative lyrics, the track reflects themes of identity, dedication, and unwavering commitment, resonating strongly with the film’s central message.

The teaser positions Shatak as an attempt to explore what it describes as the “untold story” of the RSS. Moving beyond long-standing debates and controversies, the film aims to address misconceptions surrounding the organisation by presenting its history and philosophy in a broader, narrative-driven framework. It sheds light on lesser-known chapters, including the Sangh’s role during the freedom struggle, the challenges it faced during periods of restriction, and its resilience during the Emergency. Through these episodes, the film seeks to offer audiences a more nuanced and balanced understanding of the organisation’s journey.

Director Aashish Mall described the project as a deeply personal endeavour. He shared that extensive research revealed dimensions of the Sangh that are rarely discussed or widely understood. According to him, the objective of the film has been to present these facets with honesty and sensitivity, while placing the organisation’s journey in its true historical and social context. Mall emphasised that the film does not aim to provoke debate, but rather to invite reflection by presenting documented realities through a cinematic lens.

Producer Vir Kapur echoed these sentiments, stating that the film is rooted in books, archival documents, and available literature. He noted that the challenge lay in presenting the Sangh’s ideological tradition through a unified cinematic language. Kapur also pointed out that among the many movements that emerged between 1875 and 1950, the RSS was unique in its ability to continue evolving without fragmentation—an attribute he described as its greatest strength. This enduring spirit is reflected in the film’s tagline, “Na Ruke, Na Thake, Na Jhuke”, symbolising perseverance and continuity.

Shatak: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ke 100 Varsh is co-produced by Aashish Tiwari and presented by ADA 360 Degrees LLP. The concept was developed by Anil D. Agarwal, with direction by Aashish Mall. The film is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on February 19, 2026, positioning itself as a landmark cinematic project that seeks to document a century-long journey and its enduring imprint on the nation.
