Diljit Dosanjh has found himself in the midst of controversy following the overseas release of his film Sardaar Ji 3, co-starring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, which skipped an Indian release. The move led to online backlash and boycott calls, with several petitions even urging the makers of his upcoming war drama Border 2 to remove him. However, the issue was resolved after the producers explained to film bodies that over half the film had already been shot, and replacing Diljit would cause significant financial losses.
Unfazed by the controversy, Diljit has signed another major project—the sequel to the 2005 hit comedy No Entry. According to a report by Mid-Day, Diljit will join Border 2 co-stars Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in No Entry 2. The film is scheduled to go on floors in October, with shooting planned across Greece, Italy, and India.
The decision to retain Diljit in the project was reportedly finalized during a meeting with producer Boney Kapoor at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune this July, while Diljit was filming Border 2.
Tamannaah Joins Cast, Anil Kapoor Likely to Exit
In a fresh casting update, Tamannaah Bhatia is reportedly onboard as the female lead, adding further star power to the ensemble. While fans hoped Anil Kapoor would return, sources now suggest he may not be part of the sequel. The makers are opting for a refreshed cast and storyline, while keeping the chaotic comedic essence intact.
