Priyanka Chopra Applauds PM Modi’s Bold Move! Watch Her Heartfelt Gratitude for WAVES Summit 2025

Global icon Priyanka Chopra has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the launch of the WAVES 2025 Summit, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at celebrating and advancing India’s position in the global entertainment industry. The World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit is being held from May 1 to May 4 at Mumbai’s Jio World Centre and promises to unite the brightest minds and creatives across film, gaming, tech, and digital storytelling.

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka posted a strong video message, terming the summit as “bold step” and “truly historic” for India. “For the first time in history, India is hosting the World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit, WAVES, in Mumbai. This is not just another conference. WAVES is India’s bold step onto the world stage a signal that our creative economy is not just thriving but ready to lead,” she said.

She expressed gratitude to PM Modi and various government ministries for their commitment in hosting the event. “Thanks to the vision of our great Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi Ji, and the wonderful support of the different ministries, WAVES is providing the media, entertainment, and creator economy the well-deserved industry recognition it merits,” she said.

Priyanka highlighted that the summit is a stepping stone between India’s rich narrative heritage and the future of global entertainment. “For the first time, India’s different industriesn cinema, gaming, technology are all congregating here… India always had the talent and the culture, and now we have the platform,” she concluded.

WAVES 2025 shall have more than 10,000 delegates, 1,000 creators, and 300 companies from more than 90 nations. There will be several iconic Indian icons like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, and Alia Bhatt attending the summit. FICCI, I&B Ministry, and the Create in India Challenge are supporting WAVES 2025.
