Apparently one of the worst air crashes in the history of Indian aviation, the crash has evoked an outburst of grief from all corners of the world of entertainment.
Shah Rukh Khan posted on Twitter, “Absolutely heartbroken with the news about the crash in Ahmedabad… my prayers for the victims, their families and all affected.”.
Riteish Deshmukh wrote on X, “Totally heartbroken and in shock… My condolences to all the passengers, their families, and everyone on the ground.”

Crash Details: Air India Flight AI171
The accident took place on June 12, 2025, when Air India AI171, a Boeing 787-8 aircraft, crashed immediately after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport for London Gatwick. The plane had 230 passengers and 12 staff members.
It has been revealed in an official Air India report that the plane crashed in a residential area, killing 241 individuals. A single person survived and is undergoing treatment.
Residents and people from around the area thronged the scene of the accident to help in the rescue operations before authorities could reach the scene.
The country is still in grief as investigations into the accident continue.
