Pulkit Samrat is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Rahu Ketu, and during recent interactions, the actor opened up about what made him say yes to the project. For Pulkit, the film is not just another role—it is the fulfilment of a childhood dream deeply rooted in his love for fantasy cinema.
Reflecting on his early years, Pulkit shared that films like Ajooba and Chhota Chetan left a lasting impression on him. “There are certain moments in life that feel like you’ve already lived them in your childhood,” he said, explaining how fantasy films shaped his imagination. Being part of a fantasy-driven narrative had always been on his wish list, and Rahu Ketu arrived at exactly the right time. “Everything aligned perfectly, and that’s when I knew I had to say yes,” he added.
The actor also spoke fondly about the unwavering support he received from his mother, especially during a critical phase of his life. Recalling his decision to move to Mumbai, Pulkit revealed that while his entire family was against the idea, his mother stood firmly by him. “She not only supported my dream but went against the rest of the family to ensure I followed my passion. She truly believed I would go to Mumbai and become a hero,” he shared emotionally.
Produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Pragati Deshmukh, Suraj Singh, and Varsha Kukreja under the banners of Zee Studios and BLive Productions, Rahu Ketu blends humour, fantasy, and elements of Indian culture. Alongside Pulkit Samrat, the film stars Varun Sharma, Shalini Pandey, and Chunky Panday in pivotal roles.
The film’s song Kismat Ki Chaabi, featuring Raja Kumari and Abhinav Shekhar, was released on December 22 and has already caught attention for its quirky vibe. Shot between April and July last year, Rahu Ketu dropped its first official teaser on November 20 with the caption, “Naye saal mein ho jaao taiyyar, kyunki badlegi aapki dasha aur disha jab life mein aayenge Rahu Ketu.”
Pulkit was last seen in Fukrey 3 as the fan-favourite Vikas Gulati aka Hunny. After Rahu Ketu, he will be seen in Suswagatam Khushamadeed and the upcoming television show Glory.
