Ranbir Kapoor is going to play the role of Lord Ram in the highly awaited mythological drama Ramayana, which is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. The movie has been creating a huge buzz since its announcement, and a fresh picture from the sets has now gone viral, giving a sneak peek into Ranbir’s look. The actor was spotted with a fan, showing off his traditional avatar along with a moustache, which has made fans go gaga.
Star-Studded Cast Brings the Epic to Life
Goddess Sita is played by Sai Pallavi, Raavan by Yash, Kaikeyi by Lara Dutta, Hanuman by Sunny Deol, and Manthara by Sheeba Chaddha. The two-part epic has a grand release planned—Part 1 on Diwali 2026 (November 8) and Part 2 on Diwali 2027 (October 28).
Yash, co-producer also, assured his participation in the role of Raavan and referred to it as the “most exciting character” he has played in his career because of its multi-faceted nature. He underscored the necessity of handling such roles in the complexity they are worthy of so that a film of such scale can be made.
