Ranveer Singh Receives Love from Brooklyn Nine-Nine Star Terry Crews for Dhurandhar

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar earns global praise, with Terry Crews joining fans. The spy thriller crosses ₹140 crore worldwide after a powerful opening.

Ranveer Singh‘s latest spy thriller, Dhurandhar, has been continuing to ride high on appreciation from both the audience and critics. The film, which hit the theatres on December 5, has an ensemble star cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan. Audiences have enjoyed the film’s riveting storyline, sleek action scenes, and brilliant performances, thereby making it one of the most discussed releases this season.

The appreciation has now grown to spill outside India’s boundaries. Hollywood star Terry Crews is the latest entrant in this chorus of admirers. During their meeting at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 7, Crews congratulated Ranveer Singh in person for the success of the film. He later shared a fun photo on Instagram, capturing both actors posing as though they were about to square off in a friendly fight, grinning widely for the camera. Ranveer sported a bright pink jacket with off-white trousers and quirky sunglasses, while Crews kept it classic in a white T-shirt, black pants, and stylish glasses.

Terry captioned the photo, “Me and the great @ranveersingh at @abudhabigp !!!! Congrats on DHURANDHAR.” The post went up against the film’s energetic track “Ez-Ez,” a collaboration from Hanumankind, Diljit Dosanjh, and Shashwat Sachdev.

Helmed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows Intelligence Bureau Chief Ajay Sanyal, essayed by R. Madhavan, as he spearheads a high-risk mission to take out a deadly terrorist network operating in Pakistan. Ranveer Singh plays the character of a 20-year-old Punjabi youngster who was recruited from prison and intensely trained to penetrate Karachi’s underworld. The film was largely shot between July 2024 and October 2025 across locations in Thailand, Mumbai, Punjab, and Ladakh.

The film was much in discussion since long before its release because of its courageous storyline. Co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, Dhurandhar obtained an ‘A’ certification from CBFC for depicting sensitive real-life incidents like the IC-814 Kandahar hijacking, referring to the attack on the Parliament in 2001 and Operation Lyari.

Several celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Madhur Bhandarkar, Arjun Kapoor, and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, have tweeted appreciation for the film over its taut narrative and riveting performances.
