Following the strong impact of its first installment, Dhurandhar is preparing to return with its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. After the recent teaser heightened anticipation, reports now suggest that the official trailer may arrive soon.
According to industry buzz, the trailer for Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, is expected to be unveiled in the first week of March, around March 5. The timing is reportedly aligned with the film’s planned Eid release on March 19, allowing the makers to build sustained momentum ahead of its theatrical debut.
Sources close to the production indicate that the trailer has been crafted to strike a balance between spectacle and suspense. While it will reportedly highlight the film’s large-scale action sequences and cinematic visuals, key plot elements are expected to remain under wraps to preserve the film’s narrative surprises.
Directed by Aditya Dhar and backed by Jio Studios along with B62 Studios, the sequel is said to be mounted on a significantly larger scale than its predecessor.
The film reportedly expands its cinematic universe with more elaborate action set pieces and deeper emotional arcs. The narrative is expected to move into darker territory, focusing on themes such as loyalty, revenge, and the consequences of power.
Ranveer Singh reprises his role as Lyari’s King, a character whose journey is said to carry greater emotional weight in the sequel. Early reports suggest that his physical transformation and performance may add intensity and depth to the storyline.
The ensemble cast further strengthens the film’s appeal, featuring R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun in key roles. There is also speculation about a cameo appearance by Yami Gautam as an undercover intelligence officer.
The story is expected to explore the rise of Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, as Sher-e-Baloch following the death of Rehman Dakait.
Interestingly, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is also set for a box office clash with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, making the upcoming Eid one of the most competitive release periods in recent years.
