Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked during an attempted robbery at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, in the early hours of January 16. The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. when an intruder broke into the Satguru Sharan building. The fight broke out, and Saif was stabbed several times, including deeply in the spine and once in the neck.
Miraculously, Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital by his 8-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan with the help of their caretaker. He reached the hospital around 3 in the morning and was immediately taken inside for surgery. Official Press Statement: As per Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO, Lilavati Hospital: “An unknown individual assaulted Saif Ali Khan in his home. He was admitted at 3:00 a.m. by his son, Taimur Ali Khan, and the caregiver.

A part of the knife about 2.5 inches long was taken out from Saif’s back during the surgery process. He had been shifted to the ICU for 24 hours under observation. According to Dr. Uttamani, Saif is stable and responding quite well to treatment; further treatment will depend on the evaluation done.
The shocking incident occurs after the intruder brought the ears of the house staff to notice. Saif was accosted in an attempt to stop the robbery, and in the scuffle, he was stabbed multiple times. A total of six injuries were recorded with two being deep.
Saif Ali Khan’s relatives, including sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, have visited the actor at the hospital to hug their relative. Reportedly, presently, he receives the best health care and doctor attention and constant eye of the entire dedicated staff related to his improvement.
