Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who didn't mind being tagged as big mouthed & brash and slammed the critics in general when his film HOUSEFULL released, recently while unveiling the first look of the sequel to HOUSEFULL, HOUSEFULL 2 confessed that he was a 'muffat' back then and now he's a changed man.
A polite Sajid says, 'The journey from HOUSEFULL to HOUSEFULL 2 has seen a lot of changes. Today I have become more mature understanding wise and the way I used to talk. When HOUSEFULL released I was loud-mouthed and blunt. Luckily the film was a blockbuster. This time around I am not going to say anything but only pray, inshallah film hit ho jaaye.'
But his point of contention with critics hasn't changed. Ask him about the critics and he candidly says, 'Critics never rate any blockbuster well. There are four films which have crossed 100 crores mark this year. I am not counting AGNEEPATH as it just crossed 100 crores. All four films have been run down by critics but interestingly these are the films which have done good business at the box-office and many people are liking it. So who's more important?
He further adds, 'And quite honestly Hindi films are not made for critics. They are made for Hindi film watching audience worldwide.'
It seems Sajid's dislike for critics is here to stay!
