Sonakshi Sinha has lately reacted to Mukesh Khanna’s comments where he said she didn’t know a question that was related to the Ramayana during the KBC show. Khanna had also slammed her, saying she must have not been taught well by her father, Shatrughan Sinha. But Sonakshi did it gracefully by putting her views in social media reminding him of quite a few things.
Sonakshi raised the question on a long post by Instagram where she expressed she was not the first on the hot seat not knowing a correct answer. Another lady sitting next to her who appeared younger than Sonakshi was equally unsure. She questioned why Khanna chose to single her out, suggesting that the attention on her was for reasons she found “quite obvious.” Acknowledging her momentary lapse during the show, she emphasized that it was a common occurrence and that Khanna should have considered this before making his remarks.
She also reminded Khanna of the teachings in the Ramayana about forgiveness, referring to Lord Ram forgiving characters like Manthara, Kaikeyi, and Ravan. Sonakshi made it clear that while she appreciated the lesson, she did not need it from him. She requested that he stop revisiting the past and criticizing her family, as those matters were long over.
Sonakshi responded to the comments on her upbringing, saying that the values her father had taught her were the reason she had responded respectfully despite Khanna’s distasteful comments. She wrote, “The next time you decide to say anything about the values my father has instilled in me. please remember it’s because of those values that I have only said what I said, very respectfully.”
In the same post, she reacted to Khanna’s statements against the comeback of Shaktimaan. Again referring to her personal life experiences, she elaborated to let everyone know how nowadays’ children do not study those epics and even a revival of such renowned characters may help this next generation. With such reflective statements, Sonakshi made it clear that she was defending not her childhood but also the dignity in discussions regarding sensitive issues.
