The new release of the week, Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nitesh Tiwari directed Sushant Singh Rajput starrer, CHHICHHORE, which started on a dull note (15-20 percent), during the morning, managed a good pick during the latter shows. The first day appears to be around 7 crore, on a working day, and can undoubtedly be dubbed as good.
As things stand, the very reasonable budget (around 50 crore) and the Saturday morning opening show stats are a pointer to the fact that the film is on way to good weekend haul and a success, if not hit tag!
Meanwhile, BAAHUBALI hero Prabhas’ action thriller, SAAHO (Hindi), which netted a good 115 crore during the opening week, managed a good show on the second Friday (3.50- 4 crore), despite Sushant Singh Rajput’s CHHICHHORE, and is sure to emerge a hit. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about it’s regional versions.
