Actors Akshay Kumar and Tabu recently shared some heartwarming memories about their long friendship during the trailer launch of their upcoming film Bhooth Bangla. While many know that they first appeared together on screen in the 1996 film Tu Chor Main Sipahi, their bond actually goes back much further.
Akshay revealed that he has known Tabu for nearly 39 years. He shared that they used to attend a dance academy together when they were young and learning dance. Tabu added a sweet detail to this story by saying that Akshay would often pick her up on his bike back then. This simple memory gave fans a glimpse into their early days and how their friendship started long before fame.
During the event, Tabu was asked if Akshay has changed over the years. She smiled and said that he is still exactly the same. According to her, he still wakes up very early in the morning and follows a strict routine. She joked that he still tells people what to eat and what not to eat, just like he used to years ago. Tabu also mentioned that even director Priyadarshan, with whom she has worked in many films, has not changed either.
Over the years, Akshay and Tabu have worked together in several films, including the popular comedy Hera Pheri, which was also directed by Priyadarshan. Now, after a gap of 26 years, they are coming together again for Bhooth Bangla, which has already created excitement among fans.
The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Mithila Palkar in important roles. It is set to release in theatres on April 17, with special preview shows starting the night before.
Bhooth Bangla tells the story of a man who inherits a haunted house and tries to sell it. Things take a strange turn when he plans his wedding in a village where people avoid marriage due to fear of a mysterious evil force called Vadhusur. The film mixes horror and comedy, a style that fans often enjoy.
