This week’s prominent Indian release, Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Sanjay Dutt, Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahie Gill starrer SAHEB BIWI AUR GANGSTER 3, could not quite attract the audience, opening to a below par 10 percent start at many places. On the other hand, Tom Cruise’s Hollywood venture MISSION : IMPOSSIBLE- FALLOUT (MI 6) saw an over 30 percent start as the campus crowd patronised it in a big way, given that MI franchise is a big brand in India as well.
Having said the above, SAHIB BIWI AUR GANGSTER 3 can still make amends during the remaining days of the weekend.
The other Indian release, T-Series and RD Entertainment’s NAWAABZAADE could not make much of an impact at the box-office.
Meanwhile, Dharma Production’s Shashank Khaitan directed Ishaan and Janhvi starrer DHADAK, scored a hit as it consolidated on a good weekend haul (33 crore) netting 51-52 crore during the opening week from India and continues to do well.
