Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew recently exclusive segment ‘On The Scene’ to discuss their film “Ulajh,” directed by Sudhanshu Saria. The film tells a compelling story of love, sacrifice, and resilience.
Kapoor revealed she would never go bald for a role, even if it were a significant opportunity. She shared, “They can just put a bald cap on or use VFX. I’ve dislocated my shoulder, I’ve bled, broken bones, put myself through all kinds of trauma and torture, but going bald is something I refuse to do. Even for my character in Ulajh, Sudhanshu wanted me to cut my hair short, and it was my biggest fight with him. During Dhadak, when I cut my hair, my mom yelled at me a lot and was very proud of my hair. So I will not cut my hair.”

Mathew, when asked about casting for a Malayalam remake of “Ulajh,” suggested Grace Antony and Anna Ben, noting that Ben would excel in the role. He expressed a desire to play Gulshan Devaiah’s character himself, saying he had been eyeing the part since first reading the script.
Discussing his highest retake count for a scene, Mathew recounted a recent experience with an eight-minute shot that required numerous retakes due to various technical aspects, leading to the crew stopping the count to avoid making everyone nervous.
