The iconic romantic comedy Mujhse Shaadi Karoge (2004), starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra, may soon get a sequel. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by David Dhawan, the original film is considered a cult classic. Now, buzz suggests that Mujhse Shaadi Karoge 2 is in early development—with Varun Dhawan and Kartik Aaryan possibly stepping into the lead roles.

Script in Progress, Casting Not Final

An insider revealed that Sajid Nadiadwala aims to recreate the chaotic charm of the original with a modern touch. “Kartik and Varun have great comic timing and could be a riot on screen,” the source said. However, the film is still in the scripting phase. “Sajid will lock the casting only after he’s fully satisfied with the script,” the insider added. If all goes well, the sequel could hit screens in late 2026. Aligning Varun and Kartik’s dates is expected to be a challenge due to their packed schedules.

Nostalgia and 20-Year Celebration

Last year, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge completed 20 years. Priyanka Chopra marked the occasion by sharing throwback pictures with co-stars Salman and Akshay on Instagram, writing, “20 years of being Rani! Woah! Those brows tho…”
