“My film is not entirely based on religion. Religion is only a part of my film. This is the story of a father and son whose life changes because of religion. So basically it’s a story of human emotions,” says the director.
When asked if there are any actors he’d like to work with, the director said, “There are many actors I want to work with Irrfan Khan. I really like the kind of films he’s doing. There are many other good actors also, but their tastes are different.”
Zaigham Imam opines that content-driven films are being appreciated by the people, which is a healthy trend. He says, “The trend is changing in Bollywood. BESHARAM and ACTION JACKSON flopped big time. But a film like FILMISTAN did well. So things are being content driven in Bollywood. I agree that we so have a star-driven industry. I won’t comment whether that’s good or bad but the demand for good scripts is increasing.”
DOZAKH is all set to release on 20th of March.
