Angelina Jolie recently shared insights into her experience as a mother during an appearance on Good Morning America, where she likened motherhood to her character Maria Callas’ passion for singing in her latest film. The 49-year-old actress described motherhood as her ultimate source of happiness, stating, “You can take everything else away from me. Nothing else matters.”
Jolie, who shares six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt—Maddox (23), Pax (nearly 21), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne—also discussed how her children value their privacy. She mentioned that Shiloh, in particular, is “extremely private,” and expressed her hope that they will be able to maintain their privacy as they grow older.
Jolie’s comments come shortly after attending the 2024 Governors Awards with her son, Knox. A source revealed that it was Knox’s idea to join his mother at the event, even though he usually prefers to stay out of the public eye. Jolie was reportedly proud and happy to have him by her side, respecting his decision to stay out of the spotlight when he chooses. However, the appearance reportedly raised concerns for her ex-husband Brad Pitt, who was reportedly suspicious of Jolie’s motives in bringing Knox to the event. A source suggested that Pitt believed Jolie’s actions were aimed at “pushing his buttons.”
