Ariana Grande has decided to take a break from the spotlight after completing her highly successful Eternal Sunshine Tour. According to her representative, the Grammy winning singer will step away from public appearances once her final concert takes place in London on September 1. The decision was not part of a long term plan but comes after months of performing and facing constant public attention. Her team said Ariana is looking forward to finishing the tour on a positive note before taking some well deserved time to rest and focus on herself.
As part of this break, Ariana will no longer appear in the upcoming West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George. The production, which is scheduled to open next summer at London’s Barbican Centre, would have reunited her with her Wicked co star Jonathan Bailey. Although she will not be joining the cast, people close to the singer say she fully supports the production and is excited to see the talented team bring the musical to life. Before taking her break, Ariana still has 13 concerts left on her tour, including performances in Chicago and London.
Her representative shared that Ariana has truly enjoyed every moment of the Eternal Sunshine Tour and has loved performing for her fans. Despite the physical demands of the show, which includes energetic choreography and athletic performances, she has remained committed to delivering her best every night. Her team added that she has been performing in a healthy and professional way throughout the tour and wants to end it feeling both happy and physically well.
