The Wait is Over! BTS Members’ Discharge Dates Announced – Get Ready for the Ultimate Reunion

The long-awaited return of BTS is finally within reach, and fans around the world couldn’t be more excited. On May 11, BTS leader RM sparked a wave of celebration across social media when he shared a “D-30” countdown post, marking 30 days until his and V’s discharge from mandatory military service on June 10.

“D-30” Sets the Internet Ablaze
The post featured a cartoon brown bear holding a sign that read “D-30,” subtly yet clearly signalling the nearing end of RM and V’s military duties. ARMY, BTS’s devoted fandom, quickly decoded the message and flooded platforms with emotional reactions, heartfelt messages, and celebratory hashtags. The countdown symbolizes not just the return of two members, but the nearing reunion of the entire group.

BTS had officially paused group activities in December 2022 as all seven members began fulfilling their mandatory service duties, required for all able-bodied South Korean men. Jin, the eldest, was the first to enlist in December 2022 and was discharged in June 2024. J-Hope followed in April 2023 and completed his service in October 2024.

Full Group Reunion by June 2025
As of now, five members are still serving. Here are the expected discharge dates for the remaining BTS members:

RM (Kim Nam-joon): June 10, 2025

V (Kim Tae-hyung): June 10, 2025

Jimin (Park Ji-min): June 11, 2025

Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook): June 11, 2025

Suga (Min Yoon-gi): June 21, 2025

Suga, due to a previous shoulder surgery, is completing alternative social service and will be the last to return.

Fans are now tracking not only “D-30” but also “D-40,” the countdown to BTS’s full reunion, with heartfelt messages expressing joy, nostalgia, and anticipation for the group’s long-awaited comeback.
