Hunter Schafer revealed that Tom Holland is saved as "Sister Tom" in her phone, sharing the sweet story behind the nickname at Comic Con 2026.

Hunter Schafer delighted fans with a funny and heartwarming story about Tom Holland during her appearance at Entertainment Weekly’s studio at San Diego Comic Con 2026. While taking part in a fun segment where celebrities picked their favorite superheroes for a fictional Mount Rushmore, the Blade Runner 2099 star revealed that she has a very unusual nickname for the Spider Man actor. According to Schafer, Tom Holland is saved in her phone as “Sister Tom,” and the reason behind the nickname has left fans smiling.

Explaining the story, Schafer said that Holland is married to her Euphoria co star Zendaya, whom she considers like a sister. Because of that close friendship, she jokingly thinks of Holland as part of the family too. Laughing, she called him “my dear sister Tom,” adding that he is “my other dear sister’s man.” Schafer praised Holland as a talented actor and said she has a lot of love and respect for him, making him one of the first names she chose for her superhero Mount Rushmore. Her lighthearted comments quickly became one of the most memorable moments from the Comic Con interview and showed the close friendship shared by the stars.

Holland has become one of Marvel’s biggest stars after leading three successful Spider Man movies alongside Zendaya, who plays his on screen love interest MJ. The couple will return together once again in Spider Man Brand New Day, which is set to release on July 31. Schafer’s superhero list was not limited to Marvel stars. She also picked The Powerpuff Girls, saying the animated series was an important part of her childhood. She explained that she loved watching Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup while growing up and felt connected to each of the three characters at different stages of her life. Schafer said the cartoon played a big role in shaping her love for superheroes and remains one of her favorite childhood memories.

Joining Schafer during the interview was her Blade Runner 2099 co star Michelle Yeoh, who added two more iconic names to their superhero Mount Rushmore. Yeoh chose Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, because she admired the character’s journey from being a successful surgeon to rebuilding his life after a devastating accident. She said his story of overcoming personal struggles and discovering new purpose was inspiring, emotional, and entertaining. Yeoh also paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, calling him unforgettable and praising the incredible world of Black Panther and Wakanda. Boseman, who passed away in 2020 at the age of 43, continues to be remembered as one of Marvel’s most beloved stars. His legacy lives on through his groundbreaking performance as T Challa and the lasting impact he made on audiences around the world. Schafer’s funny nickname for Tom Holland and Yeoh’s heartfelt tribute to Boseman together created one of Comic Con’s most touching and memorable celebrity moments.
