Singer-songwriter Joe Jonas has finally spoken publicly about his separation from ex-wife Sophie Turner, reflecting on how he navigated the challenging period and how co-parenting their daughters, Willa (5) and Delphine (3), has shaped his perspective. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2023 after four years of marriage.
In a recent interview with Esquire, Joe opened up about the emotional toll of divorce and expressed gratitude for the support of his family and brothers, Kevin and Nick Jonas. “Divorce is tough. It’s not easy for anybody. People are so quick to make assumptions. I’m just grateful that I have these guys and an amazing family and friends,” he shared. Joe added that performing helped him find purpose during the difficult time. “People are going through so much, and if I can perform and help them forget their problems for a couple of hours, it gives me meaning.”
Discussing co-parenting with Sophie, Joe emphasized his commitment to their children. “I could get out on the other side two-ish years later and have a relationship with my co-parent, Sophie. You realize you do everything for your kids. I’ll do anything for them, and there’s a lot to navigate,” he said.
Joe filed for divorce in Miami in September 2023, and the pair later issued a joint statement confirming that the decision was mutual. Sophie Turner has also previously described the split as “incredibly sad,” telling Harper’s Bazaar in 2024 that they “had a beautiful relationship.”
Since their separation, Turner has been linked to British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. The couple was first spotted together in Paris and London in late 2023 and has since made several public appearances, including Fashion Week and polo events. They even celebrated Pearson’s 30th birthday together in July 2025.
