Kim Kardashian recently expressed her admiration for David Jassy, a formerly incarcerated Swedish singer and music producer, through an Instagram Story. Jassy, who performs under the stage name Dawda, spent 15 years in San Quentin prison.
Kardashian met him during her visit to the prison, where she learned about his music program and involvement in the Ear Hustle podcast.
She shared her pride in Jassy’s post-prison achievements, including his return to making music after his release.
Jassy was convicted of murder in 2008 following a road rage incident that resulted in the death of jazz musician John Osnes.
Initially sentenced to 15 years to life imprisonment, he was released on parole in 2020 after California Governor Gavin Newsom commuted his sentence.
In addition, Kardashian recently revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she is officially single, despite her children’s attempts to set her up with potential partners.
Her kids, particularly her son Saint, suggest she date athletes or streamers, though Kardashian expressed that she’s not ready to start dating again.
