Margot Robbie, the star of Barbie and an Academy Award-nominated actress, is expecting her first child with her husband, film producer Tom Ackerley, as confirmed by several media reports. Speculation about her pregnancy began after photos from her vacation in Italy went viral.
In the pictures, taken during a boat ride on Lake Como, Margot Robbie was seen wearing a white crop top, black low-rise pants, and an oversized blazer that revealed a baby bump. Tom Ackerley opted for a casual look with a beige shirt and brown pants.
A user named Daily Leo DiCaprio shared the photos on X and captioned, “Congrats to Margot & her husband if the rumours are true about her being pregnant with her first child”
Margot Robbie met Tom Ackerley in 2013 on the set of the movie Suite Française. The couple got married in 2016 in an intimate ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia. Beyond acting, Robbie has also made a mark as a producer, with her company LuckyChap Entertainment, which she co-founded with Ackerley. The company has produced notable films and shows, including I, Tonya, Promising Young Woman, and Barbie.

Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig and produced by Robbie, was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars in 2024 but did not secure a win.

As per reports in an interview with Vogue in 2016, Margot Robbie described their relationship as a ‘happy surprise’. In the same interview Margot explained how she fell in love with her husband. She said: “I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him. And then it happened, and I was like, ‘Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.”
