It appears that Donna Kelce, mother of Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, is more than ready to be a grandmother again this time, courtesy of her newly engaged son and his fiancée, global pop star Taylor Swift. The NFL superstar and the Grammy-winning artist announced their engagement on Instagram on August 26, sharing a romantic garden proposal with the message, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Now, almost a month on, Donna’s craving for more grandkids is all the rage particularly after the Kelce brothers’ latest conversation on their New Heights show. During the September 22 episode, in which Travis and Jason Kelce welcomed Coach Deion Sanders on the show, the subject shifted to kids. When Coach Prime mentioned he puts his children in order, Jason quipped, “Mom’s always had Travis number one. I do know.
Travis, 35, was quick to chime in, indicating that the family dynamics had changed now that Jason is a father. “Currently, Mom has Jason no. 1 because he has kids,” he said of Jason’s four children with wife Kylie daughters Wyatt (5), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2), and baby boy Finn, born just five months ago. Jason agreed, “That is true. She has said that,” and added with a chuckle, “She’s put some pressure on him.”
The remark had Deion Sanders in stitches, as he jokingly asked Travis, “So what you waiting on, Dad?” pointing to the next natural progression in Travis and Taylor’s happily-ever-after love story — having children.
After their engagement, insiders close to the Kelce family exposed that Donna is cherishing every moment of this special time. As reported by People magazine, she has been keeping mementos from the engagement, including flowers, notes, and photos. “She is very sentimental about it. She wants to remember every detail, so she has been holding onto mementos from their first days as an engaged couple,” said the insider.

Travis had planned two weeks in advance for the public reveal, turning the backyard of his Missouri house into a wonderland garden of pink and white blossoms based on Taylor Swift’s Lover album. The proposal culminated with a bespoke diamond ring co-designed with jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
With love in the air and soft prods from Mom, could wedding bells be followed by a baby lullaby soon? Only time will tell.
