Kim Kardashian has once again drawn attention with a new hairstyle. The reality television star and entrepreneur was recently seen in Los Angeles sporting a platinum blonde look, a style that many people have linked to Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. Kardashian, 45, was photographed while heading to an appointment at a cosmetic dermatology office in Beverly Hills on Friday evening. She appeared with shoulder length platinum blonde hair styled in soft curls. She completed the look with light pink makeup, giving her appearance a classic and polished finish.
For the outing, Kardashian wore a trench coat paired with Gucci heels and a matching handbag. She also accessorised with a pair of sunglasses, despite it being after sunset. At one point, she was seen adding a navy blue Los Angeles Dodgers cap to her outfit and was later photographed carrying it.
The blonde hairstyle reminded many fans of Kardashian’s appearance at the 2022 Met Gala. At the event, she famously wore the dress once worn by Marilyn Monroe. Kardashian attended the gala with her then boyfriend Pete Davidson and styled her platinum blonde hair in a sleek bun to complement the historic outfit.
The gown she wore was the same crystal covered Jean Louis dress that Monroe famously wore while singing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy during his 45th birthday celebration at Madison Square Garden in 1962. Over the years, the dress has often been described as one of the most valuable and famous dresses in fashion history.
Although the look became one of the most talked about moments from the event, Kardashian later admitted that she had second thoughts about some styling choices, particularly her hair colour.
Speaking on Hulu’s “The Kardashians” last year, she said, “I don’t know why, but everyone told me, ‘Don’t do Marilyn hair, you’re going to look like a wax figure of Marilyn.’”
She added, “We just thought we wanted to be blond. I should have been like dark, Jackie O vibes hair.”
Kardashian revisited the topic again in a vlog released in May. Looking back at photos from the event, she said, “Everyone f—ked up here. Let’s just say that.”
She further admitted, “I think about it once a week.”
Despite those comments, Kardashian has continued experimenting with different shades of blonde hair over the years, including appearances connected to the 2026 Met Gala. Her latest look shows that the platinum blonde style remains a part of her evolving fashion choices.
