Lady Gaga and Michael Polanski have made headlines at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival by officially announcing their engagement. Lady Gaga proudly showcased her stunning 8-carat diamond ring from Tiffany & Co. as she walked the red carpet, confirming the news. The couple, who have kept much of their relationship private, made a grand entrance at the festival, where they are attending for the premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux, in which Lady Gaga stars as Harley Quinn.

Lady Gaga turned heads with her chic ensemble, opting for a black and white polka dot La Roxx minidress paired with sheer black tights, pointed-toe black heels, and black sunglasses. Her look was completed with a diamond accessory and her signature long blonde hair styled in a classic half-updo.

This public confirmation of their engagement follows a previous hint dropped by Lady Gaga during the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she referred to Michael Polanski as “my fiancé” in a TikTok video while speaking with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.

Joker: Folie a Deux, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 hit Joker, will see Lady Gaga stepping into the role of Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix, who reprises his Oscar-winning role as Arthur Fleck/Joker. The film, directed by Todd Phillips, also features Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. It is set to release in US theaters on October 4, with an earlier release in Indian cinemas on October 2. The original *Joker* was a critical and commercial success, earning 11 Oscar nominations and wins for Best Actor and Best Original Score.

Lady Gaga’s engagement and her role in the much-anticipated sequel have made her one of the most talked-about stars of the Venice Film Festival this year.
