Lindsay Lohan is making nostalgic waves as she steps back into one of her most beloved roles. On July 31, the 39-year-old actress wowed at the London premiere of Freakier Friday, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2003 hit Freaky Friday. Channeling her original character Anna Coleman, Lohan wore a stunning custom dress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin that paid homage to Anna’s memorable wedding band scene look.
Styled by Andrew Mukamal, the modern gown replaced Anna’s lilac lace accents with shimmering silver and white gemstones along the hem, hips, and straps. Completing the throwback-inspired ensemble, Lohan carried a vintage Judith Leiber handbag shaped like a red electric guitar—just like the one Anna famously strummed during the movie’s finale. She accessorized with diamond drop earrings and her engagement ring, keeping her makeup soft and her blonde hair in loose waves.
Throwback Week of Fashion
Leading up to the premiere, Lohan continued the nostalgia with clever nods to her past film characters. On July 28, she appeared on Good Morning America in a yellow plaid Balmain co-ord set inspired by Annie James from The Parent Trap. The ensemble featured a preppy jacket and miniskirt, paired with yellow heels, a headband, oversized sunglasses, and a black Hermès Birkin bag.
Later that day, during Live with Kelly & Mark, she switched to a Hallie Parker-inspired look from the same film. Lohan wore a cheongsam-style minidress by Roberto Cavalli adorned with tropical birds and floral designs—an elegant reimagining of Hallie’s iconic pink dress from the 1998 classic.
Coming Soon to Theatres
Freakier Friday hits theatres on August 8. With her stylish tributes and star power, Lohan proves that some roles—and fashion moments—are truly timeless.
